Latexo 7th and 8th graders participated in the annual Veteran's of Foreign War essay contest this year. Three students were awarded prizes for their excellent interpretation of "What Does Freedom Mean to Me." Harleigh Beavers, Ashley Oswald and Jimmy Keene were each awarded a cash prize and are now entered in the state competition.
